Crop Damage Still Being Calculated

Upwards of 95% of this year’s Okanagan grape crop is believed to have been affected by the January 2024 deep freeze, but the underlying damage to vines is still being calculated, according to an official from the B.C. Agriculture Ministry.

Growers began sounding the alarm about crop loss in February as industry groups began putting together plans to possibly import grapes so B.C. wineries have product to sell.
